What is Deck Wash?

Deck Wash is an eco-friendly, all-natural product that removes dirt, grime, mold & mildew stains, and restores graying wood to its original appearance! It's recommended for surface preparation prior to application of clear finishes and stains.

One gallon of Deck Wash cleans & restores 100-200 sq ft. depending on wood porosity and applicator used when applying Deck Wash.

Deck Wash vs Other Products: Key Differences

Efficient

Most chemicals and other products require multiple products, or multiple applications of the same product, to achieve the same results with one application of Deck Wash.

In addition, many products fix, remove, or solve one or two problems, such as removing rust stains or tannin, meaning that if you had more problems than rust or tannin, you would have to purchase additional product to remove everything.

Deck Wash is an all-in-one solution that removes dirt, grime, mold & mildew stains, graying, and more! There's no need to purchase anything else!

Ease-of-Use

Deck Wash is incredibly easy to use. Simply pour Deck Wash into a pail of water, stir the contents, and let it sit for approximately 10 minutes.

Afterwards, pour the mixture into a pump sprayer and apply Deck Wash onto desired surfaces. Deck Wash activates upon making contact with the surface.

The last step is letting the chemical stand for 15-20 minutes, keeping the area wet with Deck Wash. Thoroughly scrub the applied area with a bristle broom or brush during this time.

The entire process takes less than an hour to perform and is easy to reproduce without complications!

Deck Wash vs Deck Brite: Which one to use and why?

Although the products may seem similar to each other, Deck Wash and Deck Brite work differently for different situations. This section will provide more information about these differences.

Deck Wash

Deck Wash works differently from Deck Brite in various ways:

  • Deck Wash can be used on stained and unstained decks, roofs, concrete, and siding. Deck Brite is used on unstained decks or decks that have been treated with Deck Strip to remove stains and finishes.
  • Deck Wash removes mold & mildew stains, algae, and restores graying from horizontal & vertical surfaces. Deck Brite removes tannin stains, rust stains, fungus stains, and neutralizes Deck Strip if applied beforehand.
  • Deck Wash is recommended for use before application of finishes, stains, or on stained decks that need cleaning. Deck Brite is recommended for use to neutralize Deck Strip after application, or if an unstained/unfinished deck needs cleaning.
